How to Enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger

How to Enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger – Want to use Dark Mode with Facebook Messenger? If you’re a frequent Facebook Messenger user and you’re a fan of using dark mode for iPhone and the dark UI for iPad then you might appreciate enabling the Dark Mode feature on Facebook Messenger.

Turning on Dark Mode for Facebook Messenger is super easy and it switches all the bright white color schemes to blacks and grey, which some users may find to be more visually appealing, and some users may prefer to use at night or in darker environments.

This article will show you how to enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger, it works the same on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android too.

How to Enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger

You can enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger rather easily, here’s how to do that:

    1. Open Facebook Messenger on iPhone (or Android)
    2. Click on your profile icon in the upper left corner of Facebook Messenger
    3. Locate the switch for “Dark Mode” and turn that to the ON position to enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger

Everything immediately switches from white to black as Dark Mode is enabled.

Disabling Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger

You can disable Dark Mode on FacebOok Messenger at anytime by going back to your profile and toggling the Dark Mode switch back to the OFF position. The effect is immediate, switching from the Dark UI back to the white bright UI.

If you want to use the primary Facebook service with Dark Mode then you can do that too, by using this trick to use with Dark Mode in Chrome or Safari web browsers.

Apparently the full Facebook app is also creating a Dark Mode capability but as of writing that is not yet available on the Facebook for iPhone or Facebook for Android apps yet (according to rumors anyway), but if you’re a big dark mode fan you can look forward to that in the near future most likely. Nonetheless keep your apps updated and if the feature comes along you’ll be able to get it.

This obviously applies to Facebook users only, and if you had the service and deleted Facebook or never signed up for it in the first place, this won’t be particularly relevant to you.
